You are registered in a gym and decided to keep your good resolutions? The coach lists 3 mistakes to avoid to preserve the effectiveness of your fitness and bodybuilding sessions!
1 / Start without a fitness program
This is one of the most common mistakes. Right after registering in the gym of your dreams, you spend the first session wandering between the cardio-training areas and the slightly idle weight training platform. If nothing is done very quickly, the outcome is inevitable. We lose motivation and we finally give up.
The right reflex? Contact your Wellness Sport Club coach immediately (Geneva and Lausanne) for advice on how the devices work, on the work-outs to prioritize to achieve your goals or to test group lessons that we might like (Bodyattack™, Bodybalance™, Bodypump™). The must: offer a personal coaching session to start training with an individual tailor-made program.
2 / Train in a sports club without warming up
As soon as you arrive, you jump on the weight machines without going through the warm-up box. Attention danger. To be at the top of its performance and avoid injury, the body needs 10 to 15 minutes of preparation.
Visit the cardio-training area of your Wellness gym in Geneva and Lausanne to anticipate any bodybuilding or functional training session. After a few minutes of biking, elliptical, treadmill or rowing machine, the internal body temperature rises, softening tendons, ligaments and joints. The muscles benefit from a blood flow which supplies them with oxygen, preparing them for exercise. Result: you are more efficient because better prepared. The best!
3 / Forget to stretch after a workout
Like warm-up, stretching must be part of the sports routine. Concretely, any fitness session should be punctuated by a return to calm (as at the end of a traditional fitness class: Sh’Bam™, aquabike, Bodyattack™).
Stretching consists of stretching the muscles that have been used during the sports session. Objective: to intensify the flow of blood to the heart of the muscle fiber to detoxify and limit aches. Another effect is the gain in elasticity, which allows you to gain flexibility, contraction capacity and muscle development.
